Meet the Crew – Gaye Jordaan, Warehouse, Stock Control and Health & Safety

Providing seamless support for our technicians out in the field through warehouse and stock management, Gaye plays an important part in the admin and operations team.

Gaye joined PASLR as part of the All Pumps team in May 2016. Since that time, she has been instrumental in providing office based support to ensure our team out in the field have everything they need to do their jobs.

“Because I have such a variety of duties, no two days are the same, which keeps me busy every week,” she says. From managing stock, sourcing and pricing parts, to assisting with shop sales, overseeing health and safety and managing the fleet of vehicles, there isn’t much which happens that Gaye is not across.

Fun fact: Gaye is also PASLR’s resident hand model! Here she is demonstrating how to change your under bench filter cartridges.

In her down time, Gaye and her husband Bruce (who also works at PASLR as a Pump Technician) enjoy playing darts, “we are quite sociably competitive,” she says. They also have a marine fish tank which keeps them busy most weekend ensuring the fish and corals are always happy.

“Our daughter and two grand-daughters live just down the road from us, so we enjoy spending time with them on weekends and going to Orewa Beach to watch and support them training to become future surf life savers for NZ,” she says.

Gaye’s tip from the field: Regularly clean your gutters to avoid debris washing into your water tank which can put a strain on your pump and, if you have filtration, will block your filters. It’s the first line of defence for pump and filter protection!
