Why Should I Change my Pressure Limiting Valve Regularly?

A Pressure Limiting Valve (PLV) is designed to protect your home pressure system from any sudden pressure surges. We also use them on our Microlene under bench filtration systems to protect the filter cartridge.

PLVs don’t have a recommended life span but because they are prone to wear and tear, we often recommend they be replaced with each filter change. If a PLV fails it can produce so much water pressure your filter cartridge could explode, causing your kitchen to flood. By not fitting a PLV you run the risk of voiding your home insurance policy if you need to make a claim for damages.

We’ve made it easy to remember to change your PLV by bundling a replacement filter cartridge and PLV together in one cost-saving package. Don’t have one fitted? We can help with that too.
